Description
The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a firm fixed priced construction contract, subject to the Davis-Bacon Act to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for the project required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Exterior and Interior building rehabilitation of the historic Seawall Campground Checking Station constructed in 1941. The work includes but is not limited to: 1. Site grading and installation of French drain 2. Landscaping 3. Dismantle and reconstruct existing stone chimney, repoint mortar joints at fireplace 4. New shingle roof 5. Rehabilitate existing windows and doors 6. Exterior and Interior Painting 7. Asbestos Abatement 8. Remove existing kitchen fixtures, appliances, bathroom fixtures and electric baseboard heaters 9. Repair damaged wood ceiling beams and plaster ceiling 10. Insulation 11. Provide modification of existing wood window screens and window covering 12. Attic access hatch with ladder 13. New floor finishes including resilient flooring and carpet 14. Electric heat 15. Wiring, controls and lighting 16. Remodel existing Kitchen for new Counting Room and Foyer 17. New casework 18. Conduit for new data wiring 19. Video surveillance system 20. Fire and intrusion alarm system The NAICS code for this project is 236220 and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Location of Work: Acadia National Park, Seawall Campground, 680 Seawall Road, Southwest Harbor, Maine 04679. Tentative Date for issuing Invitations for Bids is July 31, 2017. Tentative date for opening of bids is August 29, 2017. Contract performance period is 7 months from the Notice to Proceed. Award is restricted to small businesses in accordance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.203 -- Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-Asides for Small Business Concerns. Once Invitation for Bids is issued plans will be available for inspection without charge as attachments to the Invitation for Bids. Once Invitation for Bids is issued, solicitation documents will be available free of charge through the Government wide point of entry available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Requests for the invitation for bids shall be directed to view the entire Invitations for Bids on the Governmentwide point of entry available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
