- This is a pre-solicitation notice for the roof repair at the Big Bend Engine Garage. This contract shall include the following work items:  Remove and replace damaged areas of the existing standing seam metal roof, rake trim and metal fascia. The new standing seam metal roofing and roof components replacing the damaged roof shall visually match the existing roof system.  Design a snow retention system for the valleys of the roof capable of preventing the extreme glaciation effects inherent at the site which have left the existing roof in disrepair.  Verify the structural capacity of the standing seam roof system to resist the new structural loads imposed by the snow retention system and extreme snow conditions inherent at the site. Design connections to the existing building sufficient to resist those loads.  Properly disposal of all existing damaged roofing, roof components and other waste generated during the project.
