Answer 1:250,000 Question 2:What is the minimum and maximum page number for a saddle-stitched book? Answer 2:Vender should specify this option. We don't have a minimum or maximum for requirement. Question 3:What is the anticipated average monthly number of saddle-stitched books? Answer 3:This will vary. Question 4:Please clarify Specification #11: "Color Digital Press shall have a cooling module to assure stack quality" sounds like a manufacturer-specific specification. We utilize technology that addresses cooling the printed media to assure stack quality, will that be sufficient? Answer 4:Yes, that fulfils the requirement. Question 5:Please clarify Specification #15: "Color Digital Press shall run stock sizes ranging from 8.5" X 11"- to 12" X 19", 20lb bond - 130lb cover as well as 8 and 11mil Polyester." What percentage of volume occurs with the 8 and 11 mil Polyester? Answer 5:We have never measured the percentage of volume, we just require this capability. Question 6:Will you be performing your file make-ready prior to submitting to the print server or does the solution need to include make-ready capabilities? Answer 6: We would like to see both options and the difference between both. Question 7:Please clarify Specification #23: "Color Digital Press shall provide automatic duplexing from each paper tray at a rate up to 80 images per minute, including various media weights of 20lb bond - 130lb cover, coated or uncoated, 8 mil and 11mil polyester." What percentage of your workload is greater than 110 lb cover? Would a digital press that can sustain high volumes of 110 lb cover (300 gsm) be acceptable? Answer 7:Our 11 mil polyester is over 300 gsm, if the printer doesn't meet the requirement please specify what your printer can do. Question 8:Please clarify Specification #24: "Color Digital Press shall be UL certified. Please specify." Would TUV certification be an acceptable certification in lieu of an UL Certification? Answer 8:If you don't meet the exact requirement, please specify what certification it will. Question 9:Regarding Warranty #1: Standard warranty on the Color Digital Press is ninety (90) days. Please change the warranty period from one (1) year to ninety (90) days from machine installation/acceptance with maintenance starting thereafter. Answer 9:No, the Senate requires a one (1) year minimum.
