- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Interpretive Site Roof Project for the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in Madison, WI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to remove and replace the existing shingled roof and all associated components. Installation of new, metal panel roofing (including associated components) with a matching/similar color on the entire roof surface. Install high temp ice and water shield over the entire decking and install seamless, screw-less metal panels, and replace the existing skylights. Additional work as indicated. SOLICITATION NUMBER: P17PS02023. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early September 2017 with performance to begin in September/October 2017. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Dane County, WI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238160, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available early/mid August 2017 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov and FedConnect, website at https://www.fedconnect.net. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
