- This announcement is to provide notice that the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Command (Brooke Army Medical Center and the Army Medical Department Center and School, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX) intends to negotiate a sole source award under (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to The Geneva Foundation to support Medical Technology Innovation for Rehabilitation Medicine in the Military Health System. This contract will be for services related to the continuing performance of this Project by the Geneva Foundation, for ongoing effort regarding implementation of the intervention as well as dissemination, training and technical input. The specific focus of this project is to assess the value (diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic) of various technologies that improve and enhance delivery of rehabilitation services related to musculoskeletal pain and injuries, which are the #1 cause of attrition and missed duty days in military service members. The length of service is a total of 60 months from award, with a basic effort contract period of 12 months and four (4) 12 month options. While this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible parties purporting to have the requisite credentials and capabilities to provide this service in fulfilling the agency's requirements must furnish, in writing, factual information, which clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to sufficiently provide these services, within 15 days to Mr. Lee A. Hess, lee.a.hess.civ@mail.mil. Any questions regarding this notice must be in writing only; no telephonic replies will be accepted. A determination not to compete this proposed action based on any responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer for this action is Mr. Lee A. Hess.
