- The 452 Operational Contracting Office at March Air Reserve Base intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm-fixed price construction contract for the renovation of building 2641 (PDPG 17-0116) at March ARB CA. The statement of work requires the contractor provide all materials, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to renovate interior of east side of building 2641 to include but not limited to carpet replacement, cove base replacement, drop ceiling tile replacement, wall paper removal and painting. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business firms. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 236220 with a size standard of $36,500,000. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Contract period of performance is 70 calendar days. The Government intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. In accordance with FAR 36.103 sealed bid procedures will be utilized for award of one contract. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 3 August 2017, on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov, with a proposal due date tentatively scheduled for 7 September 2017 at 1000 PST. All amendments, questions and answers, etc. to the solicitation will be posted at FBO as well. No paper copies of the solicitation will be provided. After the solicitation is posted, interested parties are cautioned to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and FAR 52.204-7, entitled "System for Award Management", Prospective contractors shall be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Recommend registering immediately at https://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for a timely award. Interested parties are instructed to refer to the solicitation for site visit date, time, and instructions on how to register to attend the site visit.
