Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Restone Arsenal proposes to issue a sole source contract to Aerojet Rocketdyne Inc., 14160 W AR 274 HWY, Camden, Arkansas, 71701, CAGE Code 62006. This effort is to complete maintenance tasks in support of the flight motor manufacturing process for the Stinger Service Life Extension Program (SLEP), including maintenance and repair to the Automated Boost Casting Machine, mandrels and thread masks, height stand and casting bell stand. As described in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), when the supplies or services required by the agency are available only from one responsible source, or for DoD, NASA and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. Aerojet is the only available source with the appropiate technical expertise, corporate knowledge, specialized skills and trained workforce to perform the required effort in the required timeframe.
