- REPLACE METAL ROOFING, WHISKEYTOWN NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, SHASTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. The National Park Service, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, has a requirement for the replacement of a metal roof on the automotive shop. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to this solicitation. Per the requirements of FAR 36.204, the project range is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 238160, with a corresponding size standard of $15 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered. Award is subject to the availability of funding at the time of award. The contractor shall install metal roofing on one building (warehouse type). The roof has no valleys a 4&12 pitch, four small venting perforations and a roof mounted hard-wired swamp cooler with 1/4 ¿ supply line. The ¿Auto Shop Building ¿ will require that the old corrugated metal roofing be removed and recycled. The Roof will be completely re-sheeted with ½ ¿ CDX plywood. If necessary replace or repair any damaged or rotted areas affected by water intrusion. The installation of additional of additional purlins or plywood sheeting is the preferred underlayment for a roof that has serviceable items on its surface (Swamp cooler and Perforations). The contractor is expected to roof under or around the swamp cooling unit in a manner that is water proof and professional. An organized site tour has been scheduled - see Section L for more information.
