Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being set aside 100% for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) in accordance with the Buy Indian Act Regulations. The Solicitation No. is A17PS000921 and is a Request for Quotations. The Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95,January 13, 2017. GENERAL The BIA, Southern Plains Region has need for the following services: Mechanical Mastication/Chipping of target vegetation within the project boundaries. The objective is to rid the identified tracts of small diameter wood vegetation and Eastern Red Cedar (ERC). The objective will be accomplished by machine masticating the following target vegetation: All woody vegetation with a diameter breast height (DBH) of 6 ¿ and less with the exception of ERC (see below ERC requirements). All ERC regardless of DBH. All material subsequent to mastication must be rough mulched or bucked. Debris must not exceed 12inches above bare soil or be longer than 24inches. All stumps must be within 2inches of ground level; stumps could be as larger as 30inches+. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, transportation, equipment, specialized personnel, and material to complete the Fuels Management Project as outline in the Statement of Work (SOW). Please see the SOW and Maps for further details. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 113310, Logging, with a size standard of 500 employees.
