Description
CVN San Diego Private Sector Maintenance Contract The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will conduct a Pre-Proposal Conference on Thursday, 10 August 2017. The event will begin at 0900 and conclude at 1600 PST. Please RSVP, to Mr. John Anderson, Contract Specialist, and cc Ms. Mercedes Thurston, Contracting Officer, to obtain meeting location information. For immediate planning purposes, this event is sceduled to be held in California. The conference will be hosted by NAVSEA 02 and PMS 312 to outline the requirements from the synopsis and Industry Day for the upcoming solicitation N00024-17-R-4300 in support of CVN 68 Class and CVN 78 Class Aircraft Carriers maintenance and repair strategy during FY 18-23. This pre-proposal conference will be held to brief prospective offerors prior to solicitation release. Generally, the Government uses these conferences in complex acquisitions to explain or clarify complicated specifications and requirements. The Pre-Proposal Conference will begin with a presentation and overview of the proposal submission requirements, to include the contract structure, and evaluation factors; after the presentation, the Navy will allow for a question and answer session, however reserves the right to provide the formal responses via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website ( https://www.fbo.gov/ ). Advance questions are encouraged to be submitted beforehand and should be submitted to Mr. John Anderson, Contract Specialist, john.anderson6@navy.mil and cc Ms. Mercedes Thurston, Contracting Officer, mercedes.thurston@navy.mil no later than 3 August 2017, in order for the briefing to be as informative as possible. The subject line for any questions shall be: San Diego Pre-Proposal Conference Questions from (Company Name). It is the responsibility of Industry, when providing any questions or comments, to properly mark information that is considered proprietary or is otherwise restricted. Pre-Proposal Conference questions and answers will also be made publicly available after the Pre-Proposal Conference event via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website ( https://www.fbo.gov/ ). The originator of the question will not be revealed in the responses that are posted. After the presentation, the Navy will allow for one-on-one sessions in the afternoon for those companies interested. Companies interested in participating in this one-on-one session shall notify Mr. John Anderson, via email, at john.anderson6@navy.mil and cc Ms. Mercedes Thurston at merceced.thurston@navy.mil. NAVSEA requests that firms interested in attending the Pre-Proposal Conference submit company names and attendee lists no later than 2PM Eastern Time, 3 August 2017 via e-mail to Mr. John Anderson, Contract Specialist, john.anderson6@navy.mil and cc Ms. Mercedes Thurston, Contacting Officer, mercedes.thurston@navy.mil. The subject line of the RSVP email shall be: San Diego Pre-Proposal Conference RSVP from (Company Name). The body of the email shall include each attendee's name, Position/Title, email address, phone number, and if you intend to participate in one-on-one sessions. Companies are asked to send no more than two (2) representatives as seating may be limited. NAVSEA does not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee costs in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
