- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick, MD is planning to solicit for a vendor to provide maintenance of two Bell & Howell Aim 6 Mail-handlers S/N 48-W999 and 48-W998 at the Hines Information Technology Center (HITC) in Hines, Illinois. The Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick, MD is conducting a market survey to determine the existence of potential small business concerns (e.g., SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), Woman Owned, etc.) with the capability to accomplish this. Contractor shall be able to provide certification by the manufacturer of the equipment that personnel servicing equipment are certified to do so by Bell & Howell. Potential service providers must have in their possession Bell & Howell service manuals for every component / module of mailing systems installed at Hines VA. Service manuals required include, but are not limited to: Mailstar 500, DCS, AUI, JETVision Express, BH28k sheet feeder, MBO folder, JETVision Platinum, Output conveyor. If awarded, the vendor must provide proof of this requirement prior to final contract award. New equipment ONLY, NO remanufactured or used products. No "GREY" market items. Interested parties shall provide a brief overview of their firm s capabilities and past experience with projects similar in scope to this project. All information shall be submitted in Word or PDF format, not to exceed 5 pages, including all attachments. Each submittal shall also include the following business information: DUNS number Organization Name Organization Address Point of Contact (including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) Tax ID number Business size Socio-economic status ( IF SDVOSB or VOSB provide SDVOSB or VOSB CVE verification) Firms shall identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 811219. If another NAICS code may be applicable, please identify the NAICS in your capability statement. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov) Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, due to time constraints, vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be considered for award. All information must be received no later than July 27, 2017, 2:00 PM, EST. Responses shall be emailed to Gary Ruc, Contract Specialist, gary.ruc@va.gov using Sources Sought Bell & Howell Maintenance in the subject line. Facsimile or Telephonic responses will not be accepted. Please do not send Zip Files.
