Description
The United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Army Geospatial Center (AGC) intends to extend the ordering period of the Geospatial, Research, Integration, Development and Support (GRIDS) II SATOC through 12 February 2018. The current requirement for the contract expires 12 August 2017. The proposed contract action is to extend the ordering period under authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the GRIDS II requirement, which includes research and development of geospatial-enabled systems and capabilities; verification and validation, integration, testing, support of geospatial systems and services; sensor(s) development, systems engineering, platform/payload integration, experimentation, management assistance and operational support. The current contractor possesses unique knowledge and capabilities required to perform these requirements during this period. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. As part of the written response, a respondent must be able to prove to the Government their ability to provide these requirements. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A written response must include evidence of the respondent's ability to support the described requirement. Interested parties with the capability of meeting the proposed requirements are requested to provide an e-mail to the point of contact, Zachary Garst at zachary.garst@usace.army.mil and copy Kirby Beard at kirby.d.beard@usace.army.mil not later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on 3 August 2017 expressing interest and outlining their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort. Such capabilities / qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
