- Solicitation No. R17PS01011: TUNNEL 5 - Replacement of check structure inlet and tunnel inlet structures Navajo Indian Irrigation Project - Gravity Main Canal PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE: The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, Four Corners Construction Office, has a requirement for construction work on the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project (NIIP). When completed, the Tunnel 5 main canal will have been reconstructed and continue as an operations and maintenance function to the current water conveyance system. The principal components of work for the Tunnel 5 reconstruction include, but are not limited to, providing the following: 1. Excavating around the existing structures 2. Removal and reconstruction of reinforced concrete check inlet structure. 3. Removal and reconstruction of reinforced tunnel inlet structure. 4. Protest float well pipes to remain in places. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000, and $1,000,000. LOCATION OF THE WORK: Work is located approximately between 13 miles south of Farmington, New Mexico, in San Juan County. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance is anticipated to be from November 1, 2017 through February 23, 2018. COMPETITION: Solicitation R17PS01011 is anticipated to be issued under a total Small Business set-aside resulting in a firm fixed price construction contract. The requirement shall be procured in accordance with Parts 15 and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposal. A site visit will be held. The date and details will be provided in Section L of the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award with or without discussions. The complete specifications will be defined in the solicitation documents. NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this procurement is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for Solicitation No. R17PS01011 is August 14, 2017. The anticipated proposal due date is September 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. local time (MDT). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov and FedConnect, www.fedconnect.net.
