- The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a concessions Prospectus on May 25, 2017, for a concession contract to provide food & beverage and vending services at Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. The Visitor Center and grounds at Jefferson National Expansion are undergoing relatively significant construction, which is transforming the park area in many ways that will benefit the visiting public including the food and beverage operation advertised in this Prospectus. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the Concession Contract. The Director determined that no Preferred Offeror for this Draft Contract exists pursuant to the terms of 36 C.F.R. Part 51; this solicitation is fully competitive. In order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract, any proposal must be received by the Commercial Services Program Manager, National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office, 601 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68102 by 4:00 p.m. (Central Time) on September 11, 2017, as outlined in the Proposal Instructions of the Prospectus. The questions submitted in a timely fashion and National Park Service responses are available at http://concessions.nps.gov/jeff003-18.html. The Prospectus is available at http://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm To receive amendments to this Prospectus, please provide Chief of Commercial Services, Midwest Region, with your contact information (name, email address, and phone number) at tracy_simmons@nps.gov or 402-661-1750. The NPS will send any additional information specific to the Prospectus in writing, via email, to interested parties who request a hard copy of the Prospectus or who have been placed on the contact list. Information relative to the solicitation will also be posted to the above mentioned website. The website above includes a number of helpful links and information including tips for submitting a competitive proposal that addresses due diligence, proposal content, and the presentation of your proposal. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $75 for prospectuses delivered Federal Express or Express Mail, or $60 if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and must include a delivery address.
