- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District intends to publish a solicitation for the following brand name aquatic herbicides: Aquathol K, containing the active ingredient Endothall; Galleon SC, containing the active ingredient Penoxsulam; Clipper, containing the active ingredient Flumioxazin; and Hydrothol 191 containing the active ingredient Mono, salt of endothall to treat submerged plants at Lake Seminole, Florida. This announcement is consistent with the terms identified in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1(c), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for bids. Written notification and supporting information regarding the availability of other aquatic herbicide(s) containing the above-mentioned active ingredients must be submitted via email to helene.s.mitchell@usace.army.mil by 2:00pm central time, August 3, 2017. If no affirmative documentation is received, the Mobile District will proceed with soliciting for the brand name aquatic herbicides. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on brand name or equal criteria.
