- This is a notice of 117th Contracting Office's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission. This Notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission is the only place in the 117th commuting area that offers a Space Camp where kids participate in simulated missions of space. While this service may be offered in other areas, participation would be low as well as the fact that to travel outside the 117th commuting area would not be cost effective to the Government.
