- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the procurement of the A/M32C-26, Landbased Variant Air Conditioner (LVAC). The LVAC is a diesel/electric, trailer mounted air conditioner, that the USN will use to supply conditioned air during ground based maintenance of the AV-8B, E-2, EA-18G, F-18 and F-35 aircraft. The Government is requesting information on the availability of Part Number: 197K2000-100, NSN: 6R-X-4120-01-598-3712-SX. Nominal requirements for the LVAC are: 1. Delivered Air Temp: 35 to 70 degrees F 2. Delivered Air Flow: 25 to 125 lbs/min (electric mode 440/480 VAC/60 Hz/3-phase at 100 amps) 3. Delivered Air Flow: 25 to 145 lbs/min (diesel mode) 4. Delivered Air Pressure:.8 to 5.5 psig 5. Dimension: 196 in x 86 in x 84 in 6. Weight: 14,200 lbs 7. Operate continuously in temperature conditions ranging from 0 to 140 degrees F. 8. Withstand storage temperature conditions ranging from -50 to 140 degrees F. 9. Operate with exposure to a 5% sodium chloride solution at a fall out rate of 1.2 fluid ounces per hour per square foot of surface area. 10. Operate continuously in blowing rain consisting of four inches per hour rain fall with 40 mph winds. 11. Operate for one hour after exposure to blowing sand (150 to 850 micron particle size). Wind speed shall be 40 mph and the concentration shall be.06 +/- 0.015 g/ft3. 12. Operate for one hour after exposure to blowing dust particles (<149 microns). Wind speed shall be 20 mph and concentration shall be 0.3 +/-0.2 g/ft3. 13. EMI/EMV compatibility requirements of MIL-STD-461/464. 14. Capable of transport within C-5, C-17 and C-130 aircraft. 15. Withstand jet vibration per Mil-Std-810. 16. SAE AS8090 Mobility The purpose of the request for information is to identify potential contractors capable of building this product. It is the Government's intent to procure a total of 35 LVACs. It is requested that information be submitted NO LATER THAN 31 July 2017 to Ms. Lisa Bethea, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Code 25212 B562-3, Route 547, Joint Base MDL, NJ 08733-5000. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
