- Description
- 1.1 Introduction: This is a non-personal services contract to maintain, inspect and repair fire extinguishers. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. 1.2. Background: Annual maintenance of fire extinguishers is a mandatary requirement in accordance with AR 420-1. Due to non- availability of USAG Ansbach resources like the proper maintenance equipment and number of qualified maintenance staff, the work shall be performed with establishment of a maintenance contract. 1.3. Scope: The Contractor shall provide non-personal services to maintain, inspect, and repair portable and wheeled type fire extinguishers at USAG Ansbach to include all inspections, hydrostatic testing, and repair work. Pick-up and delivery locations AAF Katterbach Fire Station, Storck Barracks Fire Station; onsite maintenance Katterbach AFH, Bismarck Caserne AFH, Bleidorn Caserne AFH and Storck Barracks AFH. 1.4. Objectives: The objective of this contract is to provide complete and full maintenance, inspections, and repair work on portable and wheeled type fire extinguishers in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and intervals. All work not specifically mentioned, which is required to ensure that maintenance is complete and is within the intent of this contract and shall be performed without additional cost. Contractor shall perform, coordinate, and complete the requirements of the contract in cooperation with any other contractors or trades performing work at USAG Ansbach promptly and diligently as required by the standards of this contract. 1.Period of Performance: Base Year 17 September 2017 until 16 September 2018 Option Year 1 17 September 2018 until 16 September 2019 Option Year 2 17 September 2019 until 16 September 2020
