- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Maritime Administration, Division of Atlantic Operations, Office of Acquisition is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support, a requirement to accomplish various inspections and tests to numerous life boats, a rescue boat and davits in accordance with all applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules onboard Training Ship KENNEDY located at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. Service is scheduled to take place on or about September 12, 2017. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 Ship Building and Repairing. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals/quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide these services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) listing of work completed within the past 3-yrs involving vessels of similar characteristics to those of the T.S. KENNEDY or larger (include contract total value and type). The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide the products in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION OR CONTRACTED ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submission Instructions : Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to provide this service are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 12:00 PM EST on 28 July 2017.
