Description

The VA is seeking a solution to provide our patients and their families access to the internet while they are using our facilities in Fort Meade SD. The objectives of this proposal are to: 1. Integrate into the existing wireless network infrastructure content filtering, help desk services for guests, and on-site technical support for the following areas: a. Patient Rooms b. Patient and VisitorWaiting Areas c. Expanded wireless services to all areas frequented by patients, and visitors d. Student work areas 2. Provide a splash screen during entry to the wireless network that welcomes users to BHHCS internet. This guest wireless network must permit user access without username or password authentication. 3. Implement advisory banners and logging for all VA-provided public internet access. 4. Utilize a content filtering solution for monitoring on all VA-provided public internet access. 5. Log files must be maintained for a one year period. Vendor must provide log files as requested for investigations.
