- Draft Demineralized Water Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers Spec This presolicitation, FA9101-17-R-0075, follows Sources Sought/Request for Information notification 14774-17-0003 titled "Demineralized Water Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers." The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 16 Aug 2017. Offerors will be given a minimum of 30 days to respond to the solicitation. The RFP and related documents will only be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges, sled tracks, centrifuges and other specialized units. AEDCs mission is to support National Defense by conducting developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground and flight test. This pre-solicitation provides notice that this acquisition is for Demineralized Water Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers. The performance, design, fabrication, and verification requirements for demineralized water shell-and-tube heat exchangers shall meet all requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1, the current TEMA Standard, and all other requirements in the draft specification.
