- This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes. This is NOT a Request for Proposal. The intent of this RFI is to assist Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in conducting market research. NAVAIR is requesting information regarding the procurement of a minimum of 280 BRU-32B/A bomb ejector racks, part number (P/N) 134AS7000, a minimum of 146 LAU-127E/A missile launchers, P/N 497HN0100-2, and an option for a minimum of 66 LAU-127F/A missile launchers, part number 3929AS1000-2, for the United States Navy (USN). It will be the responsibility of the vendor to procure the appropriate one (1) Pure Air Generator (PAG) unit for each LAU-127F/A. There is potential for up to an additional 355 BRU-32B/A bomb rack ejectors, 265 E/A missile launchers, and 40 LAU-127F/A missile launchers if pending Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procurements occur after USN efforts are on contract. Vendors interested in responding to the RFI shall provide a one to two page overview statement addressing the following: 1) Brief statement of interest/capabilities; 2) Any other information at vendor discretion such as catalogs, drawings/illustrations, technical manuals, training description/material, pricing, testing documentation, brochures and/or any other documentation that describes the capabilities, interfaces and specifications; 3) Respondents should identify any Government customer who have procured the BRU-32B/A, LAU-127E/A and/or LAU-127F/A hardware and provide customer point of contact, including a telephone number, e-mail address or web site. Responses may be submitted either electronically to the email address provided below or submitted via mail to the address provided below. Responses are requested by 01 August 2017. Earliest possible response is encouraged. Responses will be review and additional information may be requested from individual vendors if desired by the Government. The Government schedule does not allow for the time required to stand up and fully qualify a new vendor. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested party in support of the effort described above. The Government reserves the right to review and use the data submitted at its own discretion. Upon request, the Government will protect proprietary information from unwanted disclosure. Any such requests shall be submitted with the statement of capabilities.
