- Minimum Requirements update 21 July 2017 Solicitation Amendment added 7/21/2017 Question #1 : SATA drives are 6Gb/s, not 12Gb/s. If you want 12Gb/s, the drives would need to be SAS3. Can you please clarify if you need SATA or SAS3 drives? Answer #1 : They should be SAS drives. Our specification for the hardware we have been looking at supports both configurations but the only the SAS drives are 12GB/s which is what we need. Question #2 : Also would it be acceptable if the configuration were to use a head node and a JBOD instead of being one combined server? The amount of things you are asking for won't fit into a single server. However I could achieve them by using a 4U JBOD enclosure, and a 1U or 2U Head Node, which would stay below your chassis requirement Answer #2 : We will accept a head node and a JBOD to support the configuration we are requesting. The minimum requirements attachment has been updated accordingly as 'I.7. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS_21July2017'
