Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to award a purchase order to Data Sciences International, 119 14th Street NW, Suite 100, St. Paul, MN 55112 for a HD - X10 telemetry devices and service agreement. The purpose of this purchase order is to purchase a HD - X10 telemetry devices that includes technical support, software support and replacement of the transducers. The sole source determination is based on the determination that the laboratory that houses these devices has access to a matching base station, also from Data Sciences International, within the NIDDK. A dedicated base station is required to receive and process data from the HD - X10 implants. Thus, it significantly saves costs to use the existing infrastructure together with the HD - X10 implants instead of switching to a different vendor system. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-17-168 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. April N. Martin at National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email april.martin@nih.gov.
