- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W912LN-17-T-0014 is hereby issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). The RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-82. This RFQ is set aside 100% for small businesses. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336413 with a business size standard of 1250 employees. Firm Fixed Price Quotes are being solicited for the following: 8 F16 Aircraft covers with hail protection meeting the following specifications: •- Designed for F-16 Block 30 •- Fabric meeting the following requirements •o Sun: At least 99% UV protection •o Wind: at least 50 mph •o Rain water repellant •o Mildew resistant •o Maintain flexibility and resist sticking to air craft surface during temperature swings to below -40 •o Hail protection of at least.75 inches in diameter •o Warrantee of at least 5 years •o Cover the top of the air craft fuselage nose to tail including horizontal flight controls and wings) •o Color: Gray •o Covers will not attach to the aircraft - rather to itself after wrapping the surface of the aircraft. Hook and latch (Velcro) is not preferred. Large (at least 2-3" plastic or non-metallic) latching buckles are preferred with adjustable straps, so covers can be installed and then snugged to ensure proper fit •o A sample piece of cover to be supplied will be requested of the lowest price technically acceptable •o Contract to be awarded with First Article Test Delivery location is 112 NCO drive, South Burlington, VT 05403-5865. No other method of quote submission is acceptable. The Government will award a contract with first article testing resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government, price and delivery schedule considered.
