- CORPORATE MICHAEL J. CRESCENZ DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER LOCATED AT UNIVERSITY AND WOODLAND AVE IN PHILADELPHIA IS SEEKING A QUALIFIED SERVICE DISABLE VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) ARCHITECT/ ENGINEER (A/E) FIRM TO PROVIDE THE INVESTIGATIVE SURVEY AND VERIFICATION OF AS-BUILT CONDITIONS REQUIRED TO FULLY DEVELOP CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE VARIAN STEROTACTIC RADIOSURGERY SUBSYSTEM IN THE REDIATION THERAPY TREATMENT ROOMS APPROXIMATELY 2,300 SQUARE FT (SEE ATTACHED SKETCH SK-1). The design shall include relocation of existing HVAC systems, power and lighting systems in order to install the SRS system. A/E shall provide structural design for the mounting of new OSMS cameras, new power and data installation, modification and repairs to concrete vault and lead shielding. The A/E firm will be required to collaborate with the Department of Veterans Affairs staff to determine structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical design requirements to meet the installation requirements of the latest version of the Varian Designers Desk Reference. This A-E Services acquisition is being procured in accordance with the Selection of Architects and Engineers (Public Law 92- 582) and implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36. All submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria. A "short list" of three or more firms deemed most highly rated after initial source selection will be chosen for interviews. The Government will not pay, nor reimburse, any costs associated with responding to this request. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. Firms will be selected based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. THE NAICS (NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM) CODE IS 541310. Before a SDVOSB is proposed as a potential contractor, they must be certified by VETbiz and registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM internet site at www.sam.gov Failure of a proposed SDVOSB to be certified by the CVE at the time the SF 330 is submitted shall result in elimination from consideration as a proposed contractor.
