- VA118-17-N-2357 TAC-17-45233 Streem Fax Virtual Communications Server and Software Maintenance and TAC-17-45139 DocuShare Software Maintenance and Support Services The purpose of this Source Sought Notice is to search for qualified vendors capable of meeting the requirements for TAC-17-45233 Streem Fax Virtual Communications Server and Software Maintenance and/or TAC-17-45139 DocuShare Software Maintenance and Support Services. VA VISN 9 Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service (VISN 9 PSAS) has utilized secure network fax/communication solutions since 2007. VA requires secure desktop faxing to include appropriate licensing, media and software installation, training, and technical support at five major medical centers. VA is currently using Streem Products which creates a communications system that can send, receive, print, archive, and track information. Streem seamlessly works with the Docushare for secure storage and management of health records and documentation. In addition, VA requires Docushare standard server to Docushare enterprise server at the Memphis VA Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38106. Docushare is a content management system developed by Xerox Corporation. Docushare makes use of open standards and allows for managing content, integrating it with other business systems, and developing customized and packaged software applications. Additionally, Docushare seamlessly works with Streem fax capabilities for secure communications and document management. See attached Draft Product Descriptions. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and provide information on their respective capabilities to perform the effort described in the attached Product Descriptions. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the VA in developing its acquisition strategy and Performance Work Statement. This market research is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this market research will be the outcome of a competitive process. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The North American Industrial Classification for this effort is 541512. If interested, please submit a Capabilities Statement, limited to five pages, single spaced, 12 point font for your company, your teammates and or subcontractors. Please include Contract Number, expiration date, etc. Socioeconomic data Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number VA anticipates soliciting 2 brand name requirements: Streem and Docushare. If your company s product has the ability to meet the requirements of both of Product Descriptions and could replace Streem and Docushare, please describe. For Streem, what requirements are necessary to ensure that the network fax/communication solution acquired under this acquisition will work seamlessly with Docushare? For Streem, what requirements are needed to ensure that the network fax/communication solution acquired under this acquisition will work within the VA virtual server environment? For Docushare, what requirements are needed to ensure that the enterprise version of Docushare will work within the VA virtual server environment? For Docshare, what other information do you feel is missing in order to help you make a competitive bid on this acquisition? What other information do you feel is missing in our Product Descriptions in order to help you make a competitive bid on this acquisition? Additionally, please indicate if you, your teammates and/or subcontractors are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Business, or a Veteran Owned Small Business. Please note VA118-17-N-2357 in the subject line of your response. Your response shall specifically address the attached Product Descriptions. NO MARKETING MATERIALS ARE ALLOWED AS PART OF THIS RFI. The Government will not review any other information or attachments included, that are in excess of the 5-page limit.
