- W912PM17B0019 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for maintenance work to remove vegetation from deteriorated caulk joints around window openings and re-caulk/flash to prevent re-occurrence. In addition the contractor will install prefinished aluminum parapet cap at roof to prevent further water intrusion. The contractor will also be required to remove existing asbestos containing caulking around window openings and replace with new polyurethane caulk and install pre-finished aluminum sill cover over existing brick rowlock sill. This project will require scaffolding equipment erected on roof. Work will be performed at the John H. Kerr Powerhouse is Boydton, Virginia. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $150,000 and $500,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about August 14, 2017. A tentative pre-bid site visit will be held on August 21st, 11:00am at the Powerhouse. Further details about the site visit will be available in the solicitation. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% set aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238350 - Finish Carpentry Contractors and the size standard is $15,000,000.00. Bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
