- RFQ NMFS AKR-17-0724 for professional services to analyze, write and publish two peer-reviewed manuscripts summarizing findings from five years of study about juvenile salmon winter habitat characteristics in large glacial rivers in Alaska per the statement of work (SOW) included in this request for quote (RFQ). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for professional services to analyze, write and publish two peer-reviewed manuscripts summarizing findings from five years of study about juvenile salmon winter habitat characteristics in large glacial rivers in Alaska per the statement of work (SOW) included in this request for quote (RFQ) NMFS AKR-17-0724 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541620 and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The objective of this contract is for the successful contractor to provide professional services to compile and analyze five years of NMFS funded winter studies of the winter habitat associations of Pacific salmon (primarily Coho and Chinook salmon) in large glacial rivers in Alaska, and publish this work in the peer-reviewed scientific fisheries literature. Evaluation of the importance of beaver ponds as overwintering habitat in ice-covered off-channel habitats and the effects of disturbance during ice formation on juvenile salmon access to or emigration from overwintering locations will be the basis for writing and revising two scientific manuscripts. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Office of Management Division (OMD), requires that all contractors doing business with OMD be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
