- Packaging Requirements Packaging Requirements Packaging Requirements Packaging Requirements Solicitation The solicitation number for this requirement is being changed from: FA8533-17-R-0016 To: FA8533-17-Q-0003; however all associated documents will be posted on FedBizOpps under the original number. Test Set, Aircraft Engine NSN: 4920-01-268-2007, Part Number BH112JD-80. The requirement is for a total of six (6) each. The unit tests gas turbine aircraft engines. It includes a probe control unit assembly, a trimmer assembly, and an accessory case. The probe control unit assembly latches to the accessory case when the test set is moved. Two wheels, a support post and a push handle on the accessory case make it easy to move the test set. The portable trimmer assembly may be removed and used in the cockpit during the trim procedure. Cables, cable adapters, and heater probes are kept in the accessory case. The test set is used to maintain gas turbine aircraft engines while on the ground. When the applicable cables and accessories are used with the test set, it can do many functions. Weight is 95 lbs and measures 22.5" long, 21.0" wide and 23.5" high. Main materials are metal, plastic and glass. This is a sole source acquisition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Howell Instruments (Cage 98869) 8945 South Fwy, Fort Worth, TX, 76140, retains proprietary rights to the data for this item. NO TECHNICAL DATA IS AVAILABLE. NEW AND SURPLUS MATERIAL IS ACCEPTABLE. Categories of acceptable surplus are: New/Unused; New/Reconditioned; Used/Overhauled. Certification documentation from the Original Equipment Manufacturer is required. Surplus shall be complete and free of damage, rust, corrosion with no deterioration due to age or improper packaging and preservation. Items will be inspected by Government (DCMA) prior to acceptance at the Contractor's facility. The anticipated solicitation release will be on or around 21 June 2017, with quotes due on or around 21 Jul 2017. Offerors shall prepare their quotes in accordance with instructions contained in the RFQ. ALL questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing to Wendy.Williams.8@us.af.mil with copy to Patrick.Dillon.3@us.af.mil. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fbo.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included.
