- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) in support of the Durham VAMC is conducting Market Research through this sources sought to determine the availability of sources capable of providing GMP Allopregnanolone intravenous solution for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541712, with a Classification code of AN91. The Government requests that interested parties respond and indicate the extent to which they can meet the requirement to include the manufacturing and supply of GMP allopregnanolone intravenous injection. Contractor shall furnish services in the manufacture of allopregnanolone intravenous injection to support clinical trials to be conducted in the Veterans Affairs (VA) Mid-Atlantic Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC). These clinical trials will assess the safety and efficacy of GMP allopregnanolone intravenous injection for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and pain disorders. Contractor will provide the GMP-grade active pharmaceutical ingredient on a no-cost basis under a standard AUTM academic-to-academic material transfer agreement. Contractor will manufacture GMP allopregnanolone intravenous injection in compliance with USP-standards for intravenous products. GMP allopregnanolone intravenous injection will be packaged in bags for intravenous infusion and delivered to the Durham VAMC. This is a Sources Sought Notice and this notice is being issued for market research purposes only. This notice is not a Request for Quotation or Proposal (RFQ/RFP) and a solicitation is not being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition methodology. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested may assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition methodology. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information no later than 10:00 AM EST July 26, 2017 and include POC information, business size, and business SBA classification(s).
