- Description
- This solicitation is under the HUBZone MACC, contracts N40085-17-D-5038, 5039, 5040, 5041. Only these MACC contract holders may submit a proposal. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) owned training area. This area is located on the east side of the town of Salina, New York in the Mattydale census district. The Army is currently constructing a new standalone reserve center, and the Marines will construct a separate standalone reserve center via this FY2017 MCNR project, entitled Project #777 - Marine Corps Reserve Center, Syracuse, NY. This project is to design and construct a new 27,500 square foot Marine Corps Reserve Center, as well as a new 4,000 square foot high-bay pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) storage warehouse, and a new 4,000 square foot pre-engineered canopy/shelter addition for tactical vehicle parking. The new Reserve Center will be utilized daily by full time staff and on weekends by reservists for training activities. The facility will contain a Drill Hall space, Classrooms, open and private office spaces, an Armory, a Supply Warehouse, a Gym with adjacent locker and shower spaces, various training areas, and a Medical Suite. The new PEMB will be an unheated building for storage. The PEMB will be located near the new reserve center and the covered tactical vehicle parking. The canopy/shelter will support the storage and protection of six (6) military vehicles (600 square foot for each bay), and a 400 square foot Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) trainer. This project consists of demolition of existing structures and site features, new building construction, paving/parking areas, access roads, utilities infrastructure work, comprehensive site improvements including storm water management, and security improvements including fencing. This project relocates and reconnects an existing, self-contained Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) trainer to a space underneath a canopy; the LAV trainer is currently located in an open paved parking area. This project also relocates and reconnects an existing above ground fuel storage tank.
