Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following equipment: Brand name or equal to Inspektor Lumen Inspection System Salient Characteristics: The equipment must meet the minimum of the following: The Scopes must allow the end user a wide range of sizes: Mini (1x800mm), small enough to completely inspect Bronchoscopes; Standard (2x350mm) allowing inspection of channels of up to 700mm and Ureteroscope channels, and GI (2x950mm), designed for inspecting the working channels of GI Endoscopes. Must be focus-free design so that manual adjustment is not necessary, with 9X magnification, even when used without the camera. Must be capable of being sterilized or high level disinfected, such that maintenance of either of these systems will not result in inability to use the Lumen Inspection and Camera System. Must be waterproof. Must be designed with replacement fibers, so that if the fibers break, they can be replaced without having to purchase the optical eyepiece. Must allow the end user to replace components separately, rather than having to replace the entire system for just one part. Must be able to inspect Arthroscopic shavers, Laparoscopic instruments, Ureteroscopes, Bronchoscopes, Duodenoscopes, Gastroscopes and Colonoscopes. The USB Digital Camera must be a 5MP camera with magnification up to 300X. Must be capable of taking still pictures or video. Must have the government s TMR approval (http://trm.oit.va.gov/ToolRequestPage.aspx?treqid=24296#results ) Must connect to all three sizes of flexible scopes, Mini, Standard and GI. The Illumination Box must be a maximum of 7 x7 x4 size to save space. Must accept 1mm sized ACMI light cables from the Lumen Camera System. Must use a 150W Halogen light bulb to produce the proper amount of light for scope inspection. Must have a variable light setting so that technicians can adjust for maximum visibility. Light Cable must be a 1mm size fiber optic cable in order to maximize power and prevent damage to the flexible scopes. Must be sterilizable. Must be at least 4 long to enable use in most Decontamination areas for scope processing. The Flex Arm and Clamps hold the flexible scopes, and both must be included with every system, allowing the end user to custom-design for their own workspace. The Flex Arm must be used with either a Table Clamp or Table Mount; selecting the Table Clamp allows the system to be portable. The Flex Arm must be designed to hold the Flexible Clamps. The Table Clamp must be capable of connecting to a solid table or counter top that is 2 or less in thickness. Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Laura Davis at laura.davis5@va.gov no later than August 13, 2017. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. NAICS Code 339112 is applicable to determine business size standard. Any questions or concerns may also be directed to Laura Davis via e-mail.
