- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0095. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to S.S. White Technologies, INC.; 151 Old New Brunswick Road.; Piscataway, NJ, 08854-3761. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire the universal Xtract-All Knee System intended to remove hardware manufactured by a wide range of orthopedic companies. Salient Characteristics must include: 1. Vise Grip Style Extractors 2. Must universally adjust to a wide range of styles and sizes 3. Must apply impaction force in line with the implant stem to minimize bone loss 4. Must include C-Frame and Mallet 5. Must allow essential impaction force for easier removal of well-fixed components 6. Femoral and Tibial Specialized Osteotomes 7. Must disrupt difficult to reach posterior bone-cement interfaces 8. Must minimize bone loss CLIN 0001: Xtract-All Knee System; Quantity: 1; Unit of Issue: each; Date Material Required: August 8, 2017; Shipping is to be included with the price of the materials. S.S. White Technologies, INC. is the sole distributor of the needed items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 3:30 PM Pacific Time on August 2, 2017 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Jeffrey Collins at Jeffrey.p.collins20.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Intent to Award Sole Source to S.S. White Technologies, INC."
