- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Stewart intends to solicit proposals in response to provide Platform Scales Maintenance and Repair services at Fort Stewart, Georgia and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. There are six (6) platform scales located at Fort Stewart (FS), Georgia. There are five (5) scales, three (3) platform scales and, two (2) personnel scales located at Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), Georgia, which are used to verify weights for numerous reasons. Contractor shall perform scheduled calibration and maintenance, and unscheduled maintenance on various types of Government scales annually. Calibration services consisting of inspecting, calibrating, per Nation Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), State of Georgia, and applicable federal standards, and performing field adjustments within maintenance tolerances for the eleven scales. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5M. The Government intends to solicit this acquisition as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The anticipated solicitation release date will be on or about 31 July 2017. A site visit will take place on 3 AUG 2017; details will be provided in the solicitation. The resulting contract will be for a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a 12-month base period and four (4) one-year options. This solicitation will be issued electronically. It will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Potential Offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package, as no paper copies will be furnished. No bidder mailing list will be maintained. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check the Internet addresses provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments. Offerors are reminded to carefully review solicitation documents once issued as criteria stated in the solicitation shall govern.
