- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY ONLY The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that are capable of performing onsite Emergency Department Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLHCS). PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The Contractor shall perform onsite Emergency Department Physician Services at the VASLHCS, 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84148. QUALIFICATIONS: The Contractor shall provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Department Physicians to perform on-site Emergency Department Physician Services to VASLHCS beneficiaries. All contractor s physician (s) shall be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice, and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification shall be kept up to date at all times. In addition, the contracted physician (s) shall be privileged with The University of Utah, 201 Presidents Circle, Salt Lake City, UT 84112 at time of award. A contractor providing onsite emergency department physician services shall provide services that meet or exceed the ACEP Guidelines http://www.ACEP.org/. The VASLHCS Emergency Services are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC)and follow the standards & guidelines set forth by American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). TYPE OF CONTRACT: If this request for information leads to a future solicitation, the Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. The performance period shall be one (1) base year with four (4); one (1) option years. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Requests for copies of a solicitation shall not be honored or acknowledged. Information should be forwarded to the Contract Specialist. Because this is a request for information only, answers to questions will not be posted.
