- Description
- Industry Day Flyer Draft Performance Work Statement. In ongoing preparation for disasters, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Individuals and Households (IHP) Service Delivery Branch, is conducting a Virtual Industry Day on August 22, 2017 between 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EDT to develop partnerships with the temporary staffing industry. We have found that there is a need to express FEMA's unique surge staffing requirements to representatives from industry. This Industry Day is a market research tool being used to: (a) solicit industry input on the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS), and to (b) determine potential sources that are capable of providing the services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition. FEMA would also like to get valuable feedback from the industry regarding our standards, expectations, industry developments, and to incorporate comments into our next Request for Proposal. FEMA requires Contractor(s) to provide on-site personnel to serve as call agents to support caller services and to provide data entry when events exceed FEMA's resource capabilities during catastrophic disasters or humanitarian events. FEMA's capability to scale and leverage additional surge resources at our call centers is critical to our mission of registering disaster survivors for disaster assistance and provide applicants with information regarding disaster assistance referrals. To do business with the U.S. Government, companies must be registered and have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). SAM is an official website of the U.S. Government and there is no cost to use it. Please visit www.SAM.gov for more information. You should register your business prior to a natural disaster in order to expedite your ability to do business with FEMA. There is no cost to attend this Industry Day via teleconference or virtually through FEMA Connect, but pre-registration is required and limited space is available. Please email fema-industry-registration@fema.dhs.gov if your company will join the teleconference. When registering include "Pre-Registration Temp Services Virtual Industry Day" in the subject line. Please read the attached Industry Day flyer for more information.
