THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. Sterile Processing Services is expanding its capacity to manage increased workload volume. Ultrasonic cleaning is a critical adjunct to manual cleaning, to ensure removal of all bioburden from difficult to reach areas of surgical instrumentation such as cannulations, crevices, and lumens. The ultrasonic cleaner is a single tank, floor mounted sonic cleaner that uses ultrasonic energy in a detergent solution to clean large loads of instruments and other hard goods. Designed for the removal of minute biological debris from difficult to clean areas of surgical devices while soaking in a detergent solution. Hands-free toe-switch operation coupled with a powered load tray elevator eliminates the need for operation to lift trays into and out of the process solution tank. The unit s free-moving lid automatically closes and opens with tray elevator action. Sonic Cleaning Chamber Dimensions: Overall Size: 33 ½ L x 27 1/2 W x 41 H (The machine would fit into the small space we have available in the department) Liquid Volume: 16-1/4 gallons Maximum Tray Size: 23 L x 14 W x 8 H (The biggest tray we have fits into this machine) Maximum Load: 35 pounds (The highest tray we process is 30 pounds) Parameters: Cycle time: 1-15 minutes (Which different devices require different setting) Additional Key Features: -Automatic water fill, detergent injection, solution heating, tray immersion and cycle start timing help ensure thorough, consistent cleaning -Push-button drain operation eliminates needs to reach into the chamber -Adjustable times and temperatures -Overflow protection -Audible cycle alarms (Includes low level detergent indicator light. The work involves installation of the ultrasonic washer into the Decontamination Area of Sterile Processing Services. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or full & open competition. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database.
