Description
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is made using the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 and 36. The National Park Service, Northeast Region (NER), New England Major Acquisition Buying Office (NE-MABO), contemplates making an award to the responsible quoter whose quote is responsive to the terms of the request for quote and is most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price related factors included in the RFQ. The subject Solicitation P17PS02287 consists of the following construction services to be performed at the Katahdin Woods and Waters (KAWW) National Monument, Penobscot County, Maine. This RFQ is set-aside for 100% for Small Businesses under NAICS Code: 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction (size standard $36.5M). The Period of Performance is 09/06/2017 and 12/31/2017. The Contractor shall perform on the site, and with its own employees, work equivalent to at least twenty-five (25) percent of the work to be performed under the contract, not including the cost of materials. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation services and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The work includes, but is not limited to: 1.Regrade/Rehabilitate Approximately 8 miles of existing gravel roads 2.Clearing vegetation 3.Cleaning culverts to drain and grade the ditches 4.Removal and disposal of slide material from the trail bed and the restoration of all sections of trail that have been damaged by rock/mud slide. 5.Compacting traveled way to break down rocky material. 6.Removal of damaged concrete substructures, fabrication of replacement concrete substructures, layout, inlet/outlet dissipation, headwalls, tail walls, and re-construction of existing open channel concrete substructures, stream simulation, gravel roadway reconstruction, and bridge culvert approach work.
