- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of businesses including (but not limited to) 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339113. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking both manufacturers and/or distributors of the exact match or functionally equivalent equipment to the following Arxium products: 2M9900INS-ELITE FastPak Elite Implementation Fees 2M3000-ELITE FastPak Elite Interface Fees 2M9701-E FastPak Elite Replenishment Kit FPE520N - HT8 FastPak Elite - 508cn 8 half tab cn LPUND0001FP Additional FastPak Elite Narrow Lower Packaging Unit Purchased with FPElite SVELTPR Equipment Support - FastPak Elite - Preferred Service SVELTLPR Equipment Support - FastPak Elite LPU - Preferred Service Salient Characteristics: Packaging system must be able to interface to (Vista) Pharmacy System to support batch packaging operations. System must be running Windows Server 2012 Packaging system compatible with PADE. Database must be at least SQL 2012 Virtual server must be supported Fingerprint biometrics must be supported. System must be capable of supporting a packager that can transition from single to multi dose packaging, on site, and without a service visit. System must support 520 canisters. Canisters must be use 100% RFID technology to identify drugs placed in the packager. System must utilize rotating carousel for canister access, rather than drawers. Packager must be capable of supporting repackaging of bulk bottles into unit doses. Packager must be capable of packaging a multi-dose file for an unlimited number LTC centers supplied by the pharmacy. Packager must be capable of printing and packaging first dose orders. Packager must be rated to package 65 pouches per minute. A second lower packaging unit must be onsite and must be able to be swapped by user in order to reduce downtime. Packaging system must print after dispense to minimize change bags. System must have the ability to queue unlimited jobs System must be capable of printing images on the bags to include logos, pass times and warnings. Variable bag sizes must be supported to save on consumable costs. Packager must be capable of increasing from 260 canisters to over 500 if need grows without adding an additional unit. Packager must be able to support ½ cutting in the unit, ideally in the canisters and within the packager. System must support the ability to lock all access to medications through both a key and a password. System must provide consumable levels at the user interface for the technicians. User interface must indicate what batches include tray medications at the main screen so that the technicians can plan their work. Batches must be capable of being sorted by at least bed, patient, floor, time of day and Rx. Repack batches must be able to be completed at the device without resending from the pharmacy system. Barcoding confirmation must be available for the replenishment to insure the correct product is loaded in the system. Medication must be able to be skipped if inventory is not available and then reprinted when inventory becomes available without having to resend the job from the pharmacy system. 24-7 Support is required to be available for system. Vendor must be able to support interface changes as they become needed. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating capability and experience in providing this or similar product. Please include your business size with your submittal. If providing a submittal and offering equipment as a distributor (non-manufacturer) contractors shall also submit proof of authorization to distribute from the manufacturer of the offered equipment. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
