This is a source sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market conditions relative to NAICS 339112. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO 23), on behalf of Des Moines VA Health Care System, Des Moines, IA. is seeking to identify any vendor capable of to provide new lens meter. Background: Prior to issuing a solicitation, and pursuant to the Veterans First Contracting Program, the VA is trying to ascertain if there are any qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability of providing the below services: (Respondents are not limited to SDVOSB/VOSB concerns; the Government seeks to identify all potentially interested sources): Functional/Performance/Specification Lens Meter General Equipment Name: 636-17-3-3998-0460 Description VA-Central Iowa Health Care System (VA-CIHCS) CLC has a requirement for five (5) new lens meters for eyeglass/ spectacle measuring to directly replacement existing equipment that is at the end of service life. The current lens meters no longer provide accurate information when reading eye glass lenses. This increases the number of returns of eyeglasses due to wrong prescriptions. The current lens meters also require increased staff time and use to utilize. The requirement is for a name brand or equal TOPCON EZ200 Advanced automatic RX (prescription) analyzer with color LCD screen and built in printer.
