- Description
- RFI for AOUSC Managed Security Operations Managed Security Services / Managed Security Operations Center For the purposes of this document "the U.S. Courts" refers to the Defender Services Office (DSO) of the Department of Program Services (DPS), Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC). Within the U.S. Courts is also a number of Federal Public Defender Offices and Community Defender Organizations (FDOs), which operate like law firms representing indigent persons in federal court. The U.S. Courts are conducting market research to identify potential sources that offer managed security services, particularly with the capability of: •1. Providing a managed security operations center (SOC), to include: •a. centralized information technology (IT) security event monitoring and incident detection/response capabilities; •b. incident detection to facilitate timely responses to cyber threats preventing widespread propagation of an assault on other FDO offices; •c. threat information collection and analysis within FDOs, the judiciary, and government and non-government organizations; •d. threat and vulnerability analysis to ensure defender data protection from internal and external threats that would compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of defender data, infrastructure, and systems; and •e. analysis of cybersecurity events to identify trends and malware, maintain metrics, and produce reports for management, IT security officials, federal defenders and cyber incident responders •2. Ensuring seamless coordination and partnership with the FDOs' "in house" security incident response team (SIRT); and Providing additional consulting services to continuously improve the U.S. Courts' cybersecurity program.
