Description
SOURCES SOUGHT The South Texas VA Health Care System, located in San Antonio, TX 78229, is seeking Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) sources capable of providing the equipment listed below. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. A. GENERAL GUIDANCE 1. Title of Project: Bartter Clinical Research Unit (BCRU) Analox GM9 Glucose Analyzer purchase. 2. Scope of Work: The vendor shall provide 1 Analox GM9 Glucose Analyzer or equal that will be an integral part of the BCRU diabetes research monitoring system. 3. Background: The BCRU diabetes research area utilizes a glucose analyzing system manufactured by Analox Technologies of North America. This equipment is a required element used for metabolic studies, biochemical research, diabetic research, & glucose clamping. As the diabetes research area consistently carries out this type of research and studies, glucose analyzers that have the capability of monitoring for those procedures, uses small samples sizes (2.5-10 µl), and prints results within 20 seconds is essential to accurate and concise research results. C. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Technical Specs Analox GM9 Fast Plasma Glucose Analyzer must be a Analox Instruments device or equal for consistency in analysis when conducting research protocols. Minimum Required Specifications: Capable of small sample sizes from 2.5 - 10 l Printed results Simple YES/NO operation Fully sterilizable fluid pathways Instrument Specification: Method Enzymatic Oxygen-rate Sensor Clack-type amperometric oxygen electrode Reaction Temp. 30 deg. C Printer Must have built in printer Statistics Sequential, giving mean, S.D. and C.V. Interface Serial data port Power 100-250VAC, 50-60Hz, 12-15VDC, 60VA SELECTION CRITERIA: Evaluation Method: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) The following evaluation factors will be used: Technical Acceptability proposed equipment meets or exceeds published salient characteristics Price The price of each quote shall be evaluated. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government wide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is: 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees.
