- Description
- This amendment is to provide answers to questions that have been received from the posted solicitation and during the July 26, 2017 site visit. The site visit consisted of a walking tour of the two buildings where the cleanroom and other labs are located, with external view of labs only. No access to the actual cleanrooms was provided during the tour. No photographs were taken during this tour. Answers to Questions: 1.How long (number of hours) do you anticipate it will take daily to move all NanoFab chemicals, checking chemicals in and storing them, disposing of garbage? We don't know how much is delivered, so any information regarding this part of the quote request is important in determining staff needs. ANSWER: Since this award will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract for the complete service and not based on hours, it is the responsibility of the contractor to estimate the number of hours needed to perform the required services. The NanoFab receives an average of approximately 13 four bottle cases of chemicals per week. The number of labs and frequency for trash cans is detailed in Attachment 1 of the Statement of Work. 2.Do you have any requirements regarding the number of people on the crew or crews? ANSWER: We do not have a specific requirement regarding the number of people however during the technical evaluation we will determine if your approach is likely to meet the requirements section 1.a.iii of the Statement of work. 3.We would like to have three or four alternate workers in the event we have absences. As long as they are trained by NIST and us, is it alright to have substitutes available? ANSWER: Yes. 4.We have the square footage of the Clean 100 room- Do you have the square footage of the two labs and other areas? ANSWER: Each outside lab is about 300 square feet. 5.Is there a preferred clean room certification course we may utilize for staff or the company itself? ANSWER: NIST does not have a preferred course. The contractor is responsible for providing training/certification for staff in accordance with ISO specification 14644. 6.Based off this partial sentence, " The CNST NanoFab consists of a 19,000 sq. ft. cleanroom with 8,000 sq. ft. of class 100 space in building 215," The word "with" causes us to ask if the 8,000 sq. ft. is part of the 19,000 sq. ft., or is it a room separate from the 19,000 square feet? ANSWER: 8,000 square feet is part of the 19,000 square feet of the cleanroom envelope. 7.Who is the current incumbent and how much was the award amount? ANSWER: This is a new requirement and there is no current or previous contract in place.
