- Description
- The U.S. General Services Administration, Northeast & Caribbean Region, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for the renovation of multiple floors of a United States Courthouse to determine the interest, availability, and capability of all business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The work will take place on multiple tenant floors of the Robert H. Jackson United States Courthouse in Buffalo, NY. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Construction is currently estimated to take 220 calendar days. This renovation project consists of two phases which will affect three floors in the Robert H. Jackson United States Courthouse in Buffalo, NY. The floors which are included in this project are the first, second and fifth and all are occupied by U.S District Court staff. Areas affected by this construction consist of but are not limited to general office space, mail room, loading dock, training space and storage. The total project area is approximately 5,100 sq. feet and the project was designed by N.K. Bhandari Architecture & Engineering, P.C of Syracuse, NY. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, management, and full time on site supervision. Base work shall include, but is not limited to, finish work, plumbing work, electrical work and miscellaneous mechanical and fire protection work. Exact work description is identified and indicated in the Contract Documents. Products to be used are specified within the drawings and individual Specification Sections. Original construction at the Jackson Courthouse was done utilizing metric units so all new building materials will need to be selected to match the existing dimensional characteristics of the original building features. The contractor shall comply with the projects design specifications and drawings. The work will be constructed under a single prime contractor who is to adhere to all security requirements and guidelines for building access. The awardee will be required to complete the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Small Businesses with the capabilities to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include: 1. Any business classifications (i.e. Small Business, SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc.) 2. Examples of three projects: (i) completed within the last five years; (ii) that included the work specified above that will be required under this project; (iii) that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project. Please provide a customer point of contact for each project listed. Electronic versions of your capabilities statement shall be submitted VIA E-MAIL ONLY to charles.ferro@gsa.gov and james.berring@gsa.gov. Responses are due by Friday, August 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM (EST). The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey or return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation.
