This presolicitation notice follows Sources Sought Notice FA8225-17-R-0001 that was posted in FedBizOpps from July 7, 2017 to July 21, 2017. This is a presolicitation notice in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for service or supplies. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted under the same reference number as stated above. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments. The United States Air Force anticipates the purchase of an A-10 Aircraft Test Fixture using a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. A-10 Aircraft Test Fixture, P/N F65-0-2681, NSN 4920-ND-074-551GFJ The Government intends to award a FFP, non-commercial, Sole Source Contract to Parker Hannifin Corporation, CAGE 59211. The authority for contracting without providing for full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 332721, which has a corresponding Size Standard of 500. The entire solicitation package shall be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Requests for copies of the solicitation package, or any cumulative parts thereof, by any other means shall not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website for the release of the solicitation package, for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and for downloading their own copy of each associative amendment, if any. Contractors must comply with FAR 52.204-7 - System for Award Management in order to submit a proposal subsequent to the solicitation described herein and MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM#1. Solicitation FA8225-17-R-0001 RFP package is expected to be posted following this 15-day synopsis. The Contract Specialist information is listed below. No response to this announcement is required. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. The solicitation subsequent to this announcement may be cancelled. After solicitation and prior to award, the possibility exists to reject all offers when cancellation is clearly in the public interest. This announcement does not obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
