Description
Description: The purpose of this contract is to secure a complete set of services to accomplish a stream restoration project via end product log placement. The Contractor shall provide services to move approximately 200 trees from staging sites to flagged destinations in Huckleberry and Ninth Creek. Destinations range from about 0.1 to 0.5 miles from staging sites to log placement sites. Tree and log weights are estimated at 15,000 pounds and less. Tree and log lengths range from 35 to 45 feet long. A potential service landing is available near the project area. The Contractor may use any method (e.g. Helicopter/sling load, cable yarding, etc...) for delivery. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about August 2, 2017.

Address: The project area is located on the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest, Lane County, Oregon. The project area is about 45 miles southeast of Springfield, Oregon on Hwy 58; then 15 miles northeast on Forest Road 1928. The project is adjacent to Forest Road 1928-702 along Huckleberry Creek (T.20 S., R.4 E., Section 18, 19 and T.20 S., R.3 E., Section 24) and Forest Road 1928 on Ninth Creek (T.20 S., R.4 E., Section 6, 7). The restoration reach is less than a mile long at Huckleberry Creek and also Ninth Creek. Huckleberry and Ninth Creek are less than 4 air miles apart., Oakridge, Oregon, United States
