INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bronx VA Medical Center, 130 W Kingsbridge Road, Bronx NY 10468-3904 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Illumina, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however any responsible source who believes they are capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, 8/4/2017 at 2:00 PM EST to Linda Buccigrossi via email only to Linda.Buccigrossi@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See requirement below: Catelog # Product Description WG-317-1003 Infinium ® Methylation EPIC 96samples: Infinium Methylation array targeting >830k methylated CpGs in promoter, gene body, and enhancer regions for genome wide methylation studies For 96 samples, 12 BeadChips. Purpose: To meet the objectives of a recently fundedt project to perform genome-wide DNA methylation assays. The Infinium MethylationEPIC BeadChip (Illumina Inc.) ensures high quality genome-wide measurements of DNA methylation and enables measurements in small quantities of tissue. The need exists to purchase this reagent to achieve and maintain consistency with existing lab equipment and project goals. Illumina Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this product.
