Description
SCOPE OF WORK Roche HIV/HCV Reagents Transaction # 501-18-1-107-0003 NM VA Health Care System Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service has an ongoing requirement for reagents and consumables for use with the Roche Cobas Ampliprep and TaqMan, new instruments purchased in FY16. This Roche instrumentation is used to perform automated Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Quantitative viral testing used in patient management decisions in the clinical setting. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Specifications set forth in this request for proposal are brand name or equal to Roche Cobas. The offerer shall meet or exceed the requirements requested and will be held responsible for the performance and overall quality of the reagents and consumables. All kits, reagents, and consumables purchased will be new and fully compatible with the Roche Cobas platform. The offerer should have the ability to fill emergency supply requests when placed by the end-user. Vendor shall provide reagent and consumable replacement in the event of a manufacturer or FDA technical recall. Replacement of reagents and consumables will be at no additional cost to the federal government. Costs associated with alternative testing due to a product recall shall be incurred by the vendor. Specimens must be resulted within 14 days of receipt to Laboratory. UPGRADES/TEST VOLUME ADJUSTMENT Test volume shall be evaluated as needed to determine accuracy of annual volumes of kits, reagents, and consumables. When applicable, software upgrades associated with the instrument should be available and performed within two months of release. Software updates will at all times maintain compatibility of system. PERFORMANCE MONITOR: COR will ensure that product has been received for all charges listed on invoices. Microbiology will notify COR if there is any delay in receiving an order that results in delay in patient testing. SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This is for supplies only. The C&A requirements do not apply. A Security Accreditation Package is not required. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT (GFE)/GOVERNMENT FURNISHED INFORMATION (GFI). No government furnished equipment nor information will be provided to the contractor. RISK CONTROL: All reagents will be properly packaged, to include Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).
