Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to award a purchase order to Applied Photophysics Ltd., 21 Mole Business Park, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 7BA, United Kingdom, for a SX20 - LED stopped - flow spectrometer. The purpose of this purchase order is for a SX20 - LED stopped - flow spectrometer to perform kinetics research. The sole source determination is based on the determination that Applied Photophysics are the manufactures and sole USA distributors of the SX20 - LED stopped - flow spectrometer. The SX20 - led stopped - flow is the only instrument that has all of the features/capabilities required for the type of kinetics research done by the Institute. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-17-211 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. April N. Martin at National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email april.martin@nih.gov. All requests must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. Email addresses are encouraged but not mandatory.
